Paul Alcaide is an experienced music teacher, composer and performer, and has received several merits and won performance competitions as a guitarist. Paul starts out in the Musical Institute Jávea, later the Conservatoire del Liceo (Barcelona), parallel with the Taller de Musics de Jazz. In Barcelona he completed the University in Social Educator. He has collaborated and educational projects in Barcelona, Equatorial Guinea and Ibiza.
Throughout his life Paul has combined music with education in multiple projects coordinated by himself, both in music therapy for people with special needs, such as in schools and extracurricular aid projects and international cooperation activities. It has promoted young talents in Guinea and in Ibiza, through concerts and cultural projects.
In 2009 he created the music room of San Joan (Ibiza). Upon returning to Jávea he performed in guitar concert presenting his first solo CD, “Moments” in the House of Culture, as well as various poetry and guitar in the Cirne Foundation. Lastly, he created a group of young people who play traditional music with modern air and soon will be released his first CD, accompanied by a video clip shot in the top of Montgó and Jávea around.
Today Paul has been busy with the launch of his new album a flamenco-jazz-latin fusion with the group formed in Jávea, as well as new cultural projects, musicar poetry and other texts. And as one of his greatest passions is playing live, performances at festivals and various other public events, as well as renowned restaurants, music venues and art galleries, Paul plays both solo and with his group.
